Today, Shout! Factory releases its 25th DVD collection of MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000, and to mark the occasion, we have an exclusive video interview conducted by Fango’s Michael Gingold with creator/original host Joel Hodgson, taped amidst the chaos of the recent New York Comic-Con. The four-disc MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000: XXV features Hodgson, Mike Nelson and ‘bots giving their best snark to ROBOT HOLOCAUST, OPERATION KID BROTHER, KITTEN WITH A WHIP and REVENGE OF THE CREATURE, and includes a featurette on CREATURE director Jack Arnold, interviews with MST3K performers J. Elvis Weinstein and Bill Corbett and introductions by Hodgson and Nelson. In the interview, Hodgson discusses his memories of the show and its legacy and the do’s and don’ts of talking back to movies; many thanks to Shea Little, Bill Hall and John Torrani for making this possible.
